Since 1993 the Wayne E. Oates Institute has addressed an important
and unique need for professional and lay caregivers to learn
from each other and give care to the whole person; body, mind,
and spirit. We have done this through education, publication,
and research.
In 1998, we expanded our facilities and developed our resources
on the World Wide Web and extended our program offerings to include
online learning and publishing. The Oates Institute’s Online
Campus has grown steadily since then, allowing professionals
in multiple disciplines throughout the world to learn from each
other in ways that fit their schedule.

Online Learning Center
is the facility where 30 to 40 online seminars are held each
year and information about upcoming learning opportunities is

The Online Learning Center is utilized by other organizations
as a conference facility as we help them host various online

Studies
is the most recent addition to our campus and like all
of our facilities, it is constantly being expanded. The

books by Wayne Oates that have been republished by the
Oates Institute

Wayne Oates' writings, personal papers, interviews, class
notes, lectures, and photographs

Annual Oates Award presentations
It provides a place for those doing research in Psychology
of Religion utilizing the Wayne Oates’ body of work,
to publish and advance that legacy to address the needs
of the 21st century.

Oates Journal
is a professional publication of the Wayne E. Oates Institute that
addresses issues related to spirituality and health. Here the
current Oates Journal articles are available to guest and archives
are available to Oates Institute members.

The Wayne E. Oates Institute Online Bookstore
provides the opportunity to purchase the books by Wayne Oates
that have been republished by the Oates Institute as eBooks
as well as to browse or purchase selected books related to
pastoral care and counseling and to spirituality and health
through our affiliation with Amazon. Purchases through this
Amazon affiliation help support the work of the Wayne
E. Oates Institute. The bookstore also provides a link for
