The Wayne E. Oates Institute is a non-profit (501-c3) educational organization. Working in the tradition of Dr. Oates and his belief in collaborative, compassionate care, we facilitate an interdisciplinary dialogue around the relationships between spirituality, health, and healing among professionals from the medical, religious, social work, and various therapeutic communities. We are doing this through education, publication, and research.

As we move into the next millennium it is very important that we engage students in the Oates tradition. The Sustaining Membership funds ten student scholarships, each of which provides a student with a one year membership and a subscription to the Oates Journal plus registration for the annual fall online conference. Scholarships are provided to students from the medical, religious, social works, and therapeutic communities. A Supporting Membership provides five student scholarships.
