ABSTRACT OF ARTICLE
Ministry of Vulnerability
Pastoral Care Presence
with
Victims of Domestic Violence
by Richard B. Gilbert,
D.Min., B.C.C.
Stripped naked
and vulnerable, my resources and agendas were discarded
faster than I could even sense that they
were gone. I was left wide open and shoved aside as part
of the problem, and yet, at least momentarily, I also
was viewed as a possible solution.
This is a story about pastoral care and domestic violence.
It is a story about how pastoral care givers can be truly
sensitive to the real dangers that accompany domestic
violence.
