Spiritual Care Webinar Alert

from the Oates Institute

We have just finished wrapping up seminars from April and are getting great reviews from participants in the seminar on Cross-Cultural Communication in Spiritual Care. We are aware that the original May date for seminars to begin is upon all of us. We want to be responsive to our members time and need for rest, so we are pushing back the start date to May 19. It is just a week, but gives us more opportunities to tell you about what we are doing in late May.

May 19 marks the start date for May seminars that offer a broad look at the work of caregiving. From exploring how to deal with when religion gets sick to finding a common language to spiritual care for the alcoholic and new seeds for contemplation, we believe there is a little for everyone. If you are a professional member, just email [email protected] for your choice. If you are a non-member wishing to take seminar, the cost is $90, and you can find out more how to join us from [email protected]

New Seeds for Contemplation–This seminar builds on the classic text by Thomas Merton, New Seeds of Contemplation. The intent is to take the text and enter into it as seekers, exploring some of our own contemplative disciplines and sharing with one another the fruits of that experience. Read more.

Spiritual Care for the Alcoholic–This seminar is a new one that builds on the efforts and work of many over the past twenty years. We are continuing to work on it even now. As we do so, we will be uploading further information. Read more.
