Overview: Elaine’s latest book was just published, “Encore: The Flute Player Plays On”. It is a wonderful collection of Elaine’s poems as she journeys into her ninth decade.  Elaine takes the reader along a journey of faith, questioning, and celebration of the aging process.  

This learning event is for poets and want-to-be poets, and spiritual caregivers of all sorts. Poetry is a wonderful form of self-care and can be used as a tool for enhancing others’ spiritual journeys.  

The method will include reading and reflecting on Elaine’s book.  Registrants will receive a free copy of Elaine’s book.  Elaine will share wisdom learned in writing poetry and offer basic tips for beginning and advanced lovers of poetry. 

Learning objectives:  

  1. Read and reflect on poems from Elaine’s new book. 
  1. Learn tips for creating poetry for self-care. 
  1. Explore a few methods for intermediate poetry writing.    

There will be 3 ninety-minute sessions. By completing the seminar, one can earn 12 CEUs and surprises unanticipated.
